Sunday School runs most Sundays between Labor Day in late Summer and Memorial Day in the Spring. At Bethany, it begins at 9:30 AM, and at Concordia, it begins at 10:00 AM, right after the service. Adults and older youth are welcome to attend the adult Bible class that meets at the same time as Sunday School. (Concordia's Sunday Bible class does not yet meet, because the pastor is not available at that time.)

We are excited to use the program entitled Growing in Christ. This program incorporates age-appropriate activities, and focuses upon the biblical messages of Law and Gospel. Our purpose is to teach every child that Jesus Christ is the only way to eternal life, and that He provides it to all as a free gift. There is nothing left for us to do!

Sunday School is also an introduction to a Christian lifestyle, as we fulfill our God-given roles in the peace and freedom of forgiveness. Students will learn biblical accounts from real life that will provide a foundation for their faith in Jesus Christ, and a head start on the learning that will continue in confirmation class and through the rest of their lives.

2009 Christmas Program

For the convenience of our families, here is all the text that should be learned for Christmas. If you have any trouble downloading or printing this PDF file, please contact Pastor so he can help you. Last year, Pastor produced a CD containing all the music for the children to learn at home. If that would be valuable to you again this year, then please tell him very soon. It takes some planning and work -- and therefore time -- to produce such a CD, and it would be best to have it available when our parents need it.
